Verkocht door: Rob de Boer. Omschrijving: This adorable lamp from the 1950's was once used as a perfume lamp. It has a reservoir for scented oil inside, which is then heated by the small bulb underneath to spread the fragrance.
These lamps were predominantly made in what was once East-Germany. I always have a small collection because I think they are fantastic. It might be a bit kitschy, but it is definitely cool kitsch. This particular lamp is a statue of two wise owls, perched on an open book. Lovely shape, great colors and glazing. Inside is the lamp socket which has a regular E14 size. Small bulbs are used to light the porcelain from within and spread a subtle glow when lit.
The owls measure about 15 centimeters (6") in height. Suited for a small E14 light bulb, 25W max. for both 220V and 110V grid.
When shipped, it will be wrapped thoroughly to prevent any damage.
